Large vintage Danish ceramic hen, circa 1960s, with a rounded sculptural form and raised stylized floral and scrolling leaf decoration. Finished in a saturated turquoise-blue glaze with an overall crackle surface and darker glaze pooling within the recessed details.
At 13 inches wide, the piece has substantial scale and works well as a standalone ceramic sculpture or alongside Scandinavian and midcentury pottery. The base is also fully glazed.
