An original 1951 Italian advertising poster for the Perino brothers of Torino, purveyors of "uva speciale da tavola" (special table … Read more An original 1951 Italian advertising poster for the Perino brothers of Torino, purveyors of "uva speciale da tavola" (special table grapes), signed in the plate by the illustrator Gian Rosa. A woman in a red skirt sits enjoying a cluster of grapes beside an oversized, jewel-toned close-up of the fruit and trailing vine leaves. This colorful print is an outstanding example of mid-century Italian commercial art. The maker's mark of two rearing deer sits at the lower left.

Printed as a locandina (store-window poster) and bearing its original period authorization stamp (Autorizz. Questura Ravenna – Febbraio 1951), with the printer's imprint of Ind. Graf. Foschini, Massalombarda.

It was custom framed in a dark textured wood frame with a deep forest-green mat and museum-quality glass, with virtually no glare, ready to hang.

There is no damage to the frame or glass. The poster has minor discoloration and a few small foxing specks in the yellow margin consistent with its age (see the photos). See less
