Set of 2 - Chinese Glazed Earthenware "Egg Pot" Jardinière Planter featuring an embossed imperial dragon motif. Historically, these robust stoneware jars were used in China for preserving and storing century eggs or water, before gaining massive popularity as decorative and collectible planters. The exterior is finished in a rich, earthy brown or ochre glaze with a raised, unglazed slip design depicting five-toed dragons weaving through clouds. The rim features a classic geometric key pattern fretwork.
The inside is coated with a distinct, smooth turquoise or celadon-colored wash glaze, creating a vibrant visual contrast with the rustic exterior.
