The lamp features a … Read more A wonderful mid-to-late 20th-century primitive folk art table lamp styled after a historic running horse weathervane. The lamp features a hand-carved or silhouette wooden horse displaying a heavily distressed, crackled off-white painted finish that perfectly mimics centuries of weather exposure. Mechanically unique, the horse is mounted to a slender iron pole via a specialized sleeve, allowing it to slide vertically up and down the stem and rotate completely to change directions. Raised on a chunky, solid black-painted rectangular wooden base. Included is a beautifully paired, stitched faux-leather or parchment bell shade that casts a warm, ambient glow. An exceptional statement light for a rustic study, entryway, or country farmhouse vignette. See less
