The flowers are rendered with exceptionally heavy, expressive impasto texture, giving the petals and foliage wonderful dimension.

The painting is signed “ANN CAMPBELL” at the lower right. The reverse also bears a handwritten “Ann Campbell” inscription on the wooden stretcher.

Research indicates an American artist named Annie Campbell (1862–1951), associated with Ohio and West Virginia, who was known for landscape and floral painting. The subject matter and period appearance are consistent with her work; however, this painting has not been independently authenticated as the work of that specific listed artist and is therefore offered as a signed vintage work without guaranteed attribution.

Presented in a vintage cream/ivory molded frame with an aged, distressed finish that beautifully complements the rich colors of the painting.

Dimensions: Approximately 24” × 20” overall framed.
