Vintage 1993 still life by Patsy Craven featuring a richly colored basket arrangement of pansies, cherries, fruit, flowers, and foliage. The artwork is presented in an impressive dark frame with decorative gold rope-style inner molding, giving the piece a traditional English country-house character.
The reverse retains its original Magnolia Manufacturing Limited label from Loughborough, Leicestershire, England, as well as a “Made in England” label. The Magnolia label notes the company’s 1979 appointment as Manufacturers of Picture Frame Mouldings to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, making the framing an interesting feature in its own right.
A beautifully decorative piece for a traditional, English country, cottage, or grandmillennial interior.
