Sculptural 1970s Brutalist table lamp by Casual Lamps of California, dated 1979. The substantial earthenware ceramic body features deeply textured geometric stamped and incised decoration arranged in horizontal bands, with an earthy palette of warm beige, brown, cream and muted gray.
The dimensional surface and primitive geometric motifs give the lamp a distinctive Brutalist character while its neutral tones work beautifully with Mid-Century Modern, organic modern and Southwestern interiors.
Marked “Casual Lamps © 1979” near the base.
Includes its original period fabric shade, featuring a warm gold-toned interior.
