Features a thick, beautifully veined black marble top with natural white and charcoal inclusions, resting upon a hand-forged wrought iron base. The iron base is finished in dark charcoal-black and accented with classic neoclassical gilt metal mounts. The apron features architectural arcading topped with cast gilt Medusa head masks, a central laurel wreath and flaming torch motif, and round rosette mounts, while the lower frame showcases scrolling legs terminating in turned whorl feet connected by a swooping serpentine stretcher centered with a gilt pinecone finial.

Unmarked but the hardware joining and Neoclassical motifs are indicative of French or Italian origin, mid to late 20th century. See less
