Vintage Venetian Wedding Cake Glass Bead Necklace – Pink Roses & Aventurine – approx. 19”
Beautiful vintage Venetian-style Wedding Cake art glass bead necklace, dating approximately to the 1950s–1960s.
The necklace features large round ivory/blush glass beads lavishly decorated in the traditional Wedding Cake style with raised applied pink glass roses, sparkling copper-gold aventurine, delicate looping glass decoration, and tiny blue and amber floral accents.
The ornate beads are separated by faceted pale yellow and amber glass crystal beads and decorative gold-tone metal bead caps. The necklace is finished with a vintage gold-tone barrel/screw clasp.
The combination of dimensional floral decoration, aventurine sparkle and warm pastel coloring gives this necklace a wonderful mid-century Venetian look.
Measurements: Approximately 21 inches long.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The necklace appears to have been restrung at some point, as blue string is visible near the clasp. The clasp may or may not be original to the necklace. Please examine the photographs carefully for condition and details.
Because the necklace is unsigned and no original Murano label or documentation is present, it is being conservatively described as Venetian-style Wedding Cake art glass rather than definitively attributed to a particular Murano maker.
A beautiful and highly decorative vintage art-glass necklace that is equally appealing.
