Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage Incolay Stone large-format chest featuring the iconic "Dogs Playing Poker" scene. Unlike standard cameo designs, this pop-culture relief lid is highly sought after by collectors of barware, mid-century "man cave" decor, and canine enthusiasts.
The lid is meticulously handcrafted from heavy Incolay Stone composite, showcasing a striking, marbleized tortoiseshell swirl pattern in rich hues of charcoal, cream, and deep brown.
The 3D high-relief carving brings classic dog breeds, including a Golden Retriever, Bulldog, Poodle, Collie, and Setter vividly to life around the card table.
The lid is mounted with a solid brass piano hinge to a premium American Walnut base, complete with timeless multi-tiered ogee routered molding.
Inside, the box features its rare, original, removable mitered wood organizational tray. Both the main compartment and the tray are fully lined in plush, spotless black velvet, perfect for safely storing watches, jewelry, coins, or desk trinkets. The authentic oval "Genuine Incolay Stone - Handcrafted in USA" maker's mark remains intact on the underside of the lid.
