Introduced in 1969 and awarded the iF International Forum Product Design Award, the Hydra II is one of Hammerborg's most technically accomplished and quietly authoritative designs.

The Hydra II's engineering is as distinctive as its appearance. The stacked upper rings conceal the light source while acting as lateral reflectors, allowing light to escape softly through the openings and spread evenly across the room. Below, a textured acrylic diffuser eliminates glare entirely, producing a warm, comfortable illumination that is both functional and atmospheric.
