Teak frame and top. Height-adjustable and extendable top. Made by Tingströms, Sweden, 1960s.
Transforming table made by Tingströms in Valdemarsvik, Sweden, in the 1960s. Specializing in the production of transformable and extendable tables, the company developed construction solutions that combined mechanical precision and woodworking, characteristics well exemplified by this piece. The teak frame is characterized by sharply tapered and inclined legs, connected by perforated lateral crosspieces and shaped top supports. The alternation between solid and hollow elements and the progressive tapering of the profiles contribute to its marked sculptural character. The internal wooden mechanism allows the top to be raised and its surface to be expanded, transforming the table from 120 × 59 × 60 cm to 120 × 94 × 70 cm. The original Tingströms label is still present.
Good condition. May show some signs of aging. Please refer to the photographs. This piece has an attribution mark,
