A set of twelve silver-plated cake forks by Christofle, presented in their original fitted Christofle case.
The forks belong to the iconic América collection, designed by Luc Lanel and introduced by Christofle in 1933. A quintessential Art Deco pattern, América is distinguished by its architectural geometry, beveled edges, stepped borders and clean, restrained lines.
Each fork measures 16 cm (6.3 in) and features three tines with the characteristic widened and beveled outer edge. This distinctive shape was specifically designed for cutting and eating cakes and pies directly from the plate. Christofle continues to produce this particular form within the América collection today.
Each piece bears Christofle manufacturer’s marks. The complete set of twelve is preserved together in its fitted presentation case bearing the Christofle name, making it particularly attractive as a complete table service accessory.
Dimensions: Length of each fork: 16 cm (6.3 in).
Condition: Vintage condition with visible surface scratches and signs of previous use consistent with age. The silver-plated surfaces retain a bright appearance overall. The original fitted Christofle case shows age-related wear, discoloration and marks to the exterior, while the interior remains functional.
