Wall lamp with two adjustable diffusers in blue lacquered metal and brass. Scandinavian production, 1960s.
Designed to provide easily adjustable light, this wall lamp interprets the functionalism that characterized much of Scandinavian design in the 1960s. The two flexible arms allow the diffusers to be adjusted independently, adapting the lighting to different needs. The structure is made of brass with a polished finish, while the conical diffusers in blue lacquered metal, finished in white on the inside, produce a direct and well-controlled light. The combination of warm brass and the intense blue of the lampshades gives the whole a distinctive personality, maintaining the clean lines typical of Nordic production of the period. The independent adjustment of the two light sources allows for precise adjustment of accent lighting, while the combination of brass and lacquered metal emphasizes the successful balance between functionality and formal research.
