Authentic antique marble basin from Italy, dating to the early 20th century.
Carved from solid marble, the piece features a deep oval basin with a substantial rim and distinctive projecting elements on both sides. Originally conceived as an acquasantiera or wash basin, it has a strong sculptural and architectural presence.
The marble has developed a beautiful natural patina over more than a century, with variations in tone, surface wear, marks and imperfections consistent with its age and previous use. These characteristics have been preserved as part of the authentic antique character of the piece.
Today, it can be used as a distinctive bathroom basin, decorative architectural element, sculptural vessel or garden feature.
