The cabinet has a simple provincial construction with a panelled door, decorative moulding along the top and base, and shaped feet. The door retains its traditional iron hardware, including the lock plate, key and hinges.

Inside, the cupboard is fitted with two wooden shelves, providing practical storage. Its relatively compact proportions make it suitable as a linen cupboard, kitchen cabinet, hallway cupboard or general storage cabinet.

The cupboard has been fully restored and is in good antique condition. The oak has a warm natural patina with marks, colour variations and other signs of age and previous use consistent with an 18th-century piece.
