Of tall cylindrical form, the paperweight is surmounted by a spherical clear glass knob. Within the body, a central column of silver polveri is surrounded by spiralling bands of translucent red and green glass, overlaid with regularly dispersed bullicante bubbles and encapsulated within clear Murano crystal. The combination of coloured trails, silver and controlled bubbles creates a densely layered appearance that changes according to the viewing angle. The spherical upper section continues the decorative treatment, with green glass, silver and bubbles suspended within the clear glass. The piece demonstrates several decorative glass techniques within a compact sculptural form characteristic of collectible mid-century Murano glass. Very good vintage condition, with no chips or damage present. Some minor surface wear is visible to the polished base.
