Twelve-piece splatterware set in mottled green and brown glaze, produced by Morton Pottery of Illinois. The set includes a covered casserole, a graduated nesting bowl set, pitchers, and smaller utility bowls, all finished in the distinctive sponge-like glaze application Morton favored during the mid-20th century. This glaze, sometimes called "splash" or "spatter," gave utilitarian kitchenware a lively, textured surface that blurred the line between decorative and everyday function.

Each piece shows hand-applied glaze variations, with rich drips, streaks, and pooling across the surface.
