The organic geometry of the base creates a series of open negative spaces between its elements, with a brass tubular stretcher arcing through the structure and terminating at brass-capped bolts on either side. Three metal support posts rise from the upper frame, each fitted with a rubber disc pad, and together they carry a thick rounded-triangular glass top with softly curved sides and polished edges. Slight surface wear to the lacquer and minor scratches to the glass are consistent with age. See less
