Beautiful 1960-1970 vintage Daum Nancy France lead crystal ashtray. Stunning piece of French Art Glass, it displays a Mid-Century Modern geometric optical « tunnel » design.
Over 5 inches by 5 inches in size, it is perfect as a functional cigar astray or a "vide-poche" (catchall) on a desk or in a foyer.
Heavy high-quality piece that catches the light beautifully.
Excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Signature is clearly etched/engraved "Daum France" on the lower edge.
Daum is a renowned French crystal studio founded in 1878 famous for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs and its use of « pâte de verre » (glass paste) technique and for high-quality clear lead crystal pieces like this one.
