Up for sale is a high quality antique lidded German salt glazed stoneware beer stein made in the 19th century.
It's made out of thick pottery walls and has a glazed gray finish.
The stein has a nice applied handle which is mounted with a hinged pewter lid.
The hinge has a stunning spherical thumb-piece and is made of pewter that has a hand painted porcelain medallion inserted.
It has acquired a nice patina from age and measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 6 3/4 inches long by 4 3/4 inches wide.
