Robert Chailloux (French, 1913-2005) Born in Paris, Chailloux studied art at the Ecole de Dessin de Belleville. He had his first exhibition in 1940 at the Salon des Artistes Francais and another in 1943 at the Salon de la Nationale. From there he became well known in art circles in France and the U.S. He is best known for his street scenes and "nature mort" still lifes.
