Quarter-sawn oak library table by Limbert, featuring a single central drawer with hand-carved geometric latticework and squared bronze pulls. The design exhibits the firm's hallmark balance of craftsmanship and restraint-clean lines, exposed joinery, and subtly arched lower stretchers that add strength without excess ornamentation. A solid tempered glass top has been fitted for preservation, protecting the original finish while maintaining clarity of the oak's ray flake grain.
The Limbert Furniture Company was a leading voice of the American Arts & Crafts movement, producing furniture from 1902-1944 known for its architectural simplicity, solid oak construction, and honest, handcrafted aesthetic.
