An elegant drop-front secretary desk, also serving as a chest of drawers, crafted from walnut, featuring a tall, narrow front with clean lines.

The upper section opens with a drawer, then with a drop-front concealed within the front, which forms a writing surface when open.

The interior reveals a central compartment flanked by three small drawers, two of which are positioned side by side, a characteristic feature of secretary desks.

The drop-front is fitted with a black writing surface.

The lower section features a series of drawers with molded fronts.

Straight uprights, a slightly projecting cornice, and a base resting on small, molded front feet.

The keyhole escutcheons are discreet, in keeping with the understated aesthetic of this type of furniture.

The back paneled with assembled wood and the visible construction are consistent with 19th-century craftsmanship.

The stenciled number "99" on the reverse appears to be an old inventory number.
