Large rectangular serving platter with rounded corners, made of fine earthenware, decorated with a rich underglaze blue print in the chinoiserie style.

The basin depicts a vast landscape enlivened by pavilions and oriental architecture, surrounded by trees and vegetation.

A bridge spans the composition in the foreground, while a boat appears on the left and two birds in flight enliven the sky.

The rim is highlighted by a wide, intricately worked border, combining geometric patterns, scrolls, flowers, and stylized ornaments.

The various shades of blue and the profusion of detail create a beautiful decorative effect characteristic of European productions inspired by Far Eastern porcelain.

This type of decoration, highly prized in the 19th century, is part of the tradition of fine English chinoiserie, particularly landscapes derived from the famous "Willow" style.

The reverse is left white and, according to the photographs, shows no visible maker's marks.

A beautiful display piece, suitable for a collection of antique earthenware as well as for wall or table decoration.
