Rendered in acrylic with a rich damar varnish finish, this dynamic coastal composition showcases Garcia's signature mid-century palette knife technique, featuring vertical sailboat masts emerging from textured ochre, slate, and deep earth tones. Signed by the artist in the lower front corner and fully documented on verso with original gallery biography ephemera, inventory number (#3790), medium designation, and 1973 date. Presented in its original vintage solid wood frame with inner linen liner.

The artist: Danny Garcia is an a California artist that was born in 1929 and died in 2012. He was quite prolific producing some 6,000 paintings in his career and worked in Monterrey as well as other locations. His artwork can be found at numerous prominent museums including the Kaiser center art museum and the Museum of natural history and art in Holyoke, Mass as well as being in private collections of Frank Sinatra and Princess Margaret.

Condition: The painting is in excellent condition with no tears or missing paint. The frame is also in very good condition with almost minor to no wear. See less
