A striking oversized coffee table attributed to Marge Carson, distinguished by its dramatic sculptural form and generous 57-inch square proportions. The richly finished wood top features a geometric arrangement of inset square panels framed by a broad border and deeply scalloped perimeter.
The elaborate silhouette continues through the undulating apron, while substantial cabriole-style legs terminate in carved feet. Layered molding along the perimeter adds further depth and emphasizes the table’s substantial construction. The warm brown finish highlights the varied wood grain and gives the piece a sophisticated Old World character.
