Antique hand-hammered copper vessel featuring a prominent, decorative brazed middle.
The pot is built using traditional coppersmithing techniques, where sheets of heavy copper are hand-formed and joined together.
Textured center seam shows authentic tooling or dot-matrix brazing work, which was commonly used historically to securely fuse metal panels.
The Patina has a highly desirable, dark aged finish with subtle hints of green verdigris emerging near the textured details.
Pieces like this were often produced in the late 19th to early 20th century as functional jars or decorative Arts and Crafts style jardinieres.
Measures approximately 19.5” x 12” with 9.75” bowl opening.
