Exceptional vintage lounge chair and matching ottoman with a beautifully exaggerated barrel silhouette, deep button tufting, rounded arms, and substantial turned wood feet. The front feet are fitted with original casters, adding both character and functionality to the traditional form.
The chair and ottoman retain their original upholstery, an especially distinctive vintage woven textile featuring an elaborate procession of elephants, horses, riders, floral motifs, and geometric borders in a sophisticated palette of camel, cream, brown, olive, burgundy, and charcoal. The pattern is wonderfully unusual and gives the set a collected, worldly character.
The combination of the generously proportioned barrel form, heavily tufted upholstery, turned feet, and intricate textile makes this a particularly memorable lounge set with strong traditional character.
