My brothers and I grew up with it in the 60s and 70s in New York. It was one of my parents' pieces of furniture. It no longer has the original upholstered fabric. A few years back, our older brother had it reupholstered in a luxuriously soft black chenille and a burnt orange/tan/brown paisley cotton fabric, still keeping its MCM style integrity.
The seat is very firm. The back medium firm. Not a completely comfortable sofa, but it has always been a "wow" head turner.
The paisley fabric, on the sofa itself, is beautifully pleated.
The multi-shaped legs are made out of wood and painted in a light tannish tone.
No need to place it against a wall since it is expertly finished in the back
I have an extra black chenille cushion cover which I'll include in case you want to try different cushion configurations.
It measures 75" wide x 31 1/2" deep x 28" high.
The arm height is 23 1/4" and the seat height is 17"
There are no stains, rips or tears. it is in wonderful condition. The only thing that I would mention is the paisley fabric droops over a little bit on the arm edge. (image #8) Can possibly just be pushed back to rearrange.
