Explores Lifar’s beliefs on dance and how it should elevate the human form through classical technique.
Contains a preface by poet Paul Valery and 7 full-page lithographs by Aristide Maillol. Maillol used Lifar’s own body and poses as inspiration for his illustrations.
Comes with original glassine cover and slipcase. Minor wear and very light foxing to some pages, overall very good vintage condition.
