20th Century Framed Oil on Panel Abstract Landscape Scene from Paris
An intriguing Fauvist style work with bold colors and highly expressive brushstrokes. Abstract but with a dynamic sense of movement within the landscape that gives this piece an almost tangible energy. The blue sky backdrop is incredibly striking, as is the thick, impasto texture. A perfect statement piece or as a complement in a larger gallery wall.
Housed in a warm cherry wood frame that has minor separation at the corners. A few small spots of paint loss throughout (see detail photos), but the texture and blend of colors in this piece make it hardly noticeable. The painting was recently cleaned (by me) using a cleaner and oil specifically designed to restore paintings in order to bring its original color and vibrancy back to life. Overall very good vintage condition. Frame is included.
