Exceptional Danish art glass wall lamp designed by Per Lütken for Holmegaard.
Known as “Glassplattelampet”, the lamp features a distinctive organic form created from curved, hand-shaped glass with painterly layers of amber, olive, brown and warm honey-gold tones.
More reminiscent of a functional glass sculpture than a conventional wall light, the lamp becomes particularly striking when illuminated. The warm light beautifully reveals the layered structure, irregularities and rich colour variations within the glass.
A highly decorative example of Danish art glass and Scandinavian lighting design from the 1970s, combining Per Lütken’s characteristic organic approach to glass with the craftsmanship of Holmegaard.
