Original pair of Danish pendant lamps from the Laterna Danica series, designed by Jørgen Buchwald for Nordlux. This Ø50 cm version, made of white lacquered metal, is a distinctive example of Scandinavian lighting design from the late 20th century.
The characteristic multi-layered shade construction was designed to provide soft, evenly diffused light while reducing glare. Its clean geometry and layered form give the lamps a timeless, minimalist appearance typical of Danish design.
The lamps are preserved in good vintage condition, with minor signs of use consistent with their age. Both examples are complete and ready for use.
Their elegant, architectural form makes them perfect above a dining table, kitchen island, in a living room or in a commercial interior.
