Its rectangular frame with classical moldings—cavetto and torus profiles—testifies to the understated refinement characteristic of the period.

The gold leaf gilding rests on a reddish-brown Armenian bowl, visible in places where the gilding has acquired a patina over time: a glimpse into the traditional technique and the piece's authenticity. The mitered corners bear the gentle marks of age—light cracks and traces of old restorations—which lend it a character that only time can bestow.

The back is reinforced with a plywood panel, a discreet reinforcement added later to preserve the whole. The piece is in need of restoration: with the rediscovered gilding, this mirror will regain all its former splendor.
