Model VDJ-245, a large minimalist sideboard designed by Kurt Gunther & Horst Brechmann for Fristho around 1961.
Fristho made exclusive, sophisticated furniture with a rich use of materials. This mid-century sideboard stands out for its beautiful grain structure, the metal strip along the edge of the top, the beautiful minimalist (chromed) base and its width of 243 cm. The sideboard has four doors with shelves behind three of them, providing plenty of storage space. Behind the right door are three drawers (see photo). with the original black glass (bar) shelf, the left cabinet can be used as a bar/beverage cabinet if desired. The inside is finished with birch veneer.
A large 'salon' cupboard from the same series is also available. This piece has an attribution mark,
