The rounded cylindrical form, translucent shade and concealed light source create a warm, diffused light. A rare early example of italian space age design. The alvise was designed by luigi massoni for guzzini, then marketed under the design house (dh) label, and produced in recanati, italy. The lamp has an impressive size: the shade measures 44 cm in diameter and 58 cm in height; the total height including the suspension is 104 cm.
