This early 20th-century cabinet features 24 uniformly sized drawers arranged in a six-by-four grid, each fitted with original brass label holders and integrated finger pulls. Constructed from quarter-sawn oak, the case exhibits rich grain and a warm patina. The top bears a partially intact gold foil label with ornate scrollwork, attributed to a Chicago furniture manufacturer.

Each drawer includes a sliding front panel mechanism-common to parts and hardware cabinets of the era-allowing contents to be accessed without fully removing the drawer; this construction detail improved efficiency in retail and industrial settings. A beautifully preserved and highly functional piece of early office and retail furniture.
