Vintage framed art print featuring Ben Shahn’s evocative composition “Spring,” originally created in 1947. The expressive scene is presented in a beautifully muted palette of turquoise, teal, cream, black, and warm ochre.
The soft colors, wide cream mat, and slender silver-tone metal frame give the piece a sophisticated midcentury-modern appearance. A printed Ben Shahn signature appears within the image at the lower right.
A label on the reverse is dated October 23, 1975, indicating that the print was framed during that period. Its generous horizontal format makes it an appealing focal point above a console, sofa, mantel, or credenza.
