Beautiful vintage wall mirror from the renowned Hitchcock Chair Company (Riverton/Hitchcocks-ville, CT). This piece features the company's iconic Early American revival styling, blending classic Federal design elements with traditional hand-stenciled craftsmanship.
Design & Details: Frame: Ebonized black turn-column wood frame accented with ring-turned gold bands.
Stenciling: Beautifully detailed gold floral rosettes on the corner blocks and classic leaf groupings along the rails.
Backing: Features the authentic historical Hitchcock trademark paper label on the reverse side, replicating the company's 1830 broadside advertisement and the "Hitchcock. Alford & Co. Warranted" signature.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The mirror glass is clear, and the wood frame shows beautifully preserved gold stenciling with minimal wear consistent with age.
Perfect accent piece for a foyer, hallway, gallery wall, or traditional dining room.
