Impressive pair of large vintage glazed terra cotta Federal eagle sculptures, each standing approximately 23” tall. These substantial opposing eagles feature beautifully modeled feather detailing, outstretched wings and a rich brown glazed finish with wonderful depth and character.
Both eagles bear faint incised markings near the lower body/base area that may be maker or artisan marks; the maker has not been identified.
The pair was acquired through Cielo Home in Portland, Oregon, known for its curated selection of distinctive vintage, antique and globally sourced furnishings and decorative objects.
