Single-sided porcelain (SSP) Texaco service station sign mounted on its original post.
This bold square-format sign, measuring 30" per side, advertises "Free Crankcase Service - Refill with Texaco Motor Oil" beneath the company's distinctive pouring can graphic. Executed in heavy porcelain enamel, the sign would have been displayed roadside to draw motorists into Texaco filling stations for promotional service offers. Its survival with the original iron post is a rare feature, though the piece clearly bears the scars of decades outdoors.
