This piece serves as a beautiful homage to one of Märta Måås-Fjetterström’s most important and iconic works: the "Hästhagen" or Horse Pasture carpet, originally designed in 1923. First created for The Gothenburg Tercentennial Jubilee Exhibition; a landmark event that helped establish a new Swedish design identity uniting tradition and modernity—the original "Hästhagen" design was so revered that a version was presented as a wedding gift to Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Märtha of Norway.

Our contemporary interpretation brilliantly captures the narrative charm and meticulous geometric structure of that royal commission. Set against a warm beige field, the layout features a stylized, abstract landscape. True to its namesake "Horse Pasture," the heart of the rug showcases charming, blocky horse figures resting and grazing around a towering, geometric tree.
