Paul Baruch was a … Read more This is an AMAZING VINTAGE ORIGINAL watercolor by celebrated Jewish artist Paul Baruch from the 1950s. Paul Baruch was a prolific artist who made lithographs, watercolors and original artwork throughout the 1940s and 1950s in the New York area. This painting is a watercolor of a woodsy camping scene from the Catskill mountains from that mid-century time. The Catskills were a favorite vacation spot for Jewish families from New York during the 1950s and 1960s, and Paul Baruch captures the perfection of a Catskill landscape dotted with tents, barbecues, a pool with a waterslide, and tall pine trees. The watercolors are AMAZING and there is very little discoloration to the paint. This painting is 19 inches long and 13 inches high. It is framed in a wooden frame that goes 24 inches long and 18 inches tall. The painting has been under glass since the 1960s. It is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION! The condition of this vintage watercolor shows a little warping and very little discoloration while its wood frame shows wear (see photos). See less
