Beautifully handcrafted in 18-karat yellow gold and platinum, the necklace features an elaborate arrangement of floral motifs, diamond-set swags and articulated foliate drops.
Approximately 6.00 carats of antique-cut diamonds are set throughout the graceful garland-style composition. The delicate platinum settings create a lace-like appearance against the warm yellow-gold framework, while the articulated construction gives the necklace elegant movement along the neckline.
The clasp is signed “F. CHIAPPE.” Founded in Genoa in 1886, the Chiappe jewelry house became closely associated with Italian aristocracy and European society. Filippo Chiappe was later appointed official jeweler to the Italian Royal Court in 1913.
