While living in Tokyo, Japan due to corporate transfers between 1975-1978 and, again,1985-1988. I collected detailed hand-painted antique Japanese porcelains from various antique stores in Japan.
. I am now a retired professional interior designer and, for years, was a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).
. Currently, I am beginning to list my collection of blue and white antique Imari plates and other antique blue and white Imari pieces, including antique porcelains hibachis, sake cup holders, dishes, plates, teacups, antique Japanese colored Japanese Imari rice/soup bowls with lids, other colored Imari and some Chinese antique porcelains.
. This special "collection" of 12 antique blue and white antique teacups with detailed hand painting is from end of EDO Period (1603-1868) just before Meiji period.
. Collectors are drawn to the historic significance, the artistry of these detailed hand-painted designs and its decorative appeal and the fact that it is a collection/set of 12 collected over my years in Japan.
. I have determined the price due to the age, condition and quality of artistic detail and quality.
