The large hinged upper chest provides generous storage traditionally intended for linen, textiles and household possessions It is raised on a decorative stand fitted with three small drawers, each with brass handles and geometric inlaid detail
Of particular note is the shaped apron, richly decorated with stylised floral and foliate inlay, complemented by further motifs to the drawer fronts and sides The chest is supported on substantial turned legs, while the upper section retains an ornate pierced brass escutcheon Portuguese walnut linen trunk
