White brutalist tree candle holder “tree of life” 1970s. This striking brutalist candle holder, dating from the 1970s, is crafted from wrought iron and finished in white. Its sculptural form resembles a tree, with organically shaped branches rising from a sturdy central trunk. Often referred to as a “Tree of Life” candle holder, the design combines the raw character of brutalist metalwork with a surprisingly decorative and almost natural silhouette. The piece provides space for seven tealight candles, positioned at different heights throughout the branches. When lit, the candles emphasize the irregular lines of the ironwork and create an atmospheric play of light and shadow. Even without candles, the piece works well as a decorative sculptural object. The hand-shaped appearance and slightly irregular construction give the candle holder plenty of character, typical of artisanal metalwork from the period. The white finish shows some small areas of surface rust and age-related wear, consistent with its vintage character, but overall the candle holder remains in good vintage condition.
