43x31x2 frame, professionally framed by Metro Frame Works in Denver. Perfect condition. Art is 41” x 29”.
This piece is a signature wet cyanotype work by Boulder, Colorado-based artist Kristen Abbott. She creates these organic compositions by hand-coating linen with a light-sensitive emulsion. She then arranges locally foraged leaves and botanicals onto the surface, exposing them directly under the Colorado sun. This process creates her characteristic, dreamy translucent forms against deep Prussian blue backgrounds.
