The mirror has a wide wooden frame with a beautifully weathered off-white finish that was added at a later date. Earlier gilt layers remain visible through the worn paint, showing that the frame was originally fully gilded. Applied gilt composition ornaments decorate each corner, while a gilt inner border frames the mirror glass and adds further definition.

The worn paint, visible gilt layers and softened gold finish give the mirror a strong antique character. Its combination of aged off-white and warm gold makes it a decorative statement mirror for both classic and contemporary interiors.
